The new year is bringing an editorial transition at Onsite Installer, as I will be taking over for longtime editor Ted Rulseh over the next few months. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and I hope to meet more readers at the upcoming Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International.

I am not new to COLE Publishing, having served as the editor of titles Portable Restroom Operator since 2004 and Pumper since 2005. And my first stories for the publishing company dedicated to wastewater and environmental services contractors were written for Installer more than a decade ago. Over the years I’ve also been fortunate to shoot photos for several Installer stories featuring contractors near my northern Wisconsin home.

During my tenure at Pumper, I’ve noticed a growing interest in operation and maintenance of onsite systems among the pumping contractors we’ve featured. An emphasis on enhanced routine care of these systems among pumpers seems like a natural progression as the systems become more complex, environmental regulations become a bigger priority and homeowners seek to make these valuable systems last longer.

With your help, I hope to build on the knowledge I’ve gained over the years in the pumping industry and bring you the type of editorial content that will aid you in adding value to your businesses.

If you’re attending the Pumper & Cleaner Expo Feb. 25-28, I invite you to come to the COLE Publishing editors booth and introduce yourself. I’d enjoy meeting you and getting your ideas for stories we can develop in future issues.
