Be There or Stand Still

So business still isn’t as good as you’re used to, and you still need to watch expenses, and time is at a premium now more than ever.

That can only mean one thing: You need to find the money, and find the time, to attend the 2010 Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International. Yes, that’s right. Even if times are still hard, now is not the time to cut something so essential out of the budget. The same would be true for any high-quality industry trade show you’re used to visiting.

Count the reasons

Why is trade show attendance so important even now? Because no matter what happens to the economy, the industry doesn’t stand still. Manufacturers still develop compelling new products. Contractors still find new ways to solve problems and serve customers better.

There’s no better place than your industry trade show to learn about these things. Skip the show and other companies — including your competitors — make progress while you stay right where you are. Or to put it more positively, if you attend now, while your competitors stay home, you gain the edge.

Business is always tough. A competitive edge is hard to win and, once you get it, hard to keep. What you learn at a trade show like the Expo may give just the boost you need to hold on to your advantage or put another competitor or two in the dust cloud behind you.
