Nebraska professionals missing CEUs
According to the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, many currently certified onsite professionals lack the required 12 hours of approved continuing education to apply for their 2008 certification renewal. Once the certificate expires, applicants must pass the department’s exams and pay the fees.
The Nebraska On-Site Waste Water Association is offering “Basics of Onsite Wastewater Systems” at Gering on Oct. 15. The course is approved for six hours of credit. The University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension is offering “Septage Pumping and Management” at Columbus on Oct. 24 and Ithaca/Meade on Nov. 7. Its “Alternative Technologies” course is at Columbus on Oct. 25 and Ithaca/Meade on Nov. 8. The courses are approved for six hours of CEUs.
