Bio-Microbics hosted another successful Distributor Sales Conference at its headquarters in Shawnee, Kan., earlier this month. Besides the multitude of U.S. states represented, there were over 25 countries represented by the attendees (most have been long-standing distributors of Bio-Microbics products and systems). 

Topics in the nine workshops included:

  • History and Growth of Bio-Microbics
  • Nutrient Reduction Technologies
  • Wastewater 101
  • Wired for Success (troubleshooting control panels)
  • SciencoFAST Marine Sanitation Devices
  • Water Treatment Products
  • Maintenance Tablets
  • Environmentally Friendly Cleaners 

Attendees also were able to take advantage of the open forum format to weigh in on and present their own field service experiences. 

The hands-on training presentations in the factory location included more in-depth discussions on products, such as the MyFAST wastewater treatment systems, BioBarrier 0.5 MBR fully operating in a clear tank and discussions about the HSMBR (up to 9,000 gpd) Design, and the unveiling of the new SciCHLOR Sodium Hypochlorite Generator producing chlorine from salt, water and electricity on site. 

Awards and other recognitions began the evening’s activities at the black-tie dinner:

  • “RetroFAST RAMBO Award” for the most RetroFAST Units Sold in 2012 – TAKOM
  • “MyFAST Maverick Award” for the most MyFAST Systems Sold – Innovative Treatment Systems (ITS)
  • “FITT for the Application” Award for providing a Bio-Microbics solution for floating fishing lodges – Pinnacle Environmental (PETI)
  • “Home Run King Award” for the most Residential Units Sold in 2012 – NatureWorks 

“With the new products coming out, there’s a lot to be excited about,” says Brad Helvey, ClearWater Environmental. “The knowledgebase of the people we call at Bio-Microbics is second to none. Helvey won the grand prize, a complete RetroFAST 0.15 system, at the Bio-Microbics Casino Night.
