A new Gehl skid loader was delivered to the grounds of University Wisconsin-Washington County, in West Bend, Wis., as a donation from Manitou Americas, Inc.

“We are delighted to donate a new Gehl R 190 compact skid loader to the University Wisconsin-Washington County,” said Dan Miller, CEO Manitou Americas, Inc. and president of the Manitou Group CE-Compact Equipment Division.

“With a history in West Bend dating back to 1859, Manitou Americas is honored to be affiliated with UW-WC and work together as a part of our community. We have the right equipment to help the University maintain the campus grounds and are proud to be able to assist them.”

The Gehl skid loader is used on the premises to do multiple landscape projects on the grounds of the University. Some of the projects the skid loader has been put to use include: hauling and spreading mulch, digging out stumps, clearing snow from lots and sidewalks and unloading heavy pallets.

Paul Price, UW-Washington County’s dean, added, “The donation of the Gehl skid loader is a tremendous benefit to our campus maintenance. Gehl equipment is dependable and very versatile, so it is used extensively by the maintenance staff. The donation is a wonderful demonstration of the importance that The Manitou Group places on education in our community. We thank Dan Miller and Manitou for their continued support.”
