As part of ongoing efforts to secure more support for the onsite wastewater industry, past NOWRA President Tom Fritts is scheduled to testify live before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment and Related Agencies.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time. Fritts is scheduled to be the 12th speaker. Each speaker is allotted five minutes for their statements, so he will likely testify close to 2 p.m. We suggest you plan to log in earlier to make sure you don't miss his testimony.

Here is a link so that you can watch the hearing live: http://appropriations.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=393958. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the page to see the live feed. You may wish to test that feed before the hearing begins to make sure that it loads correctly for you. We will also load the archived version and make it available through the NOWRA website (www.nowra.org) as soon as it becomes available.

An expanded version of Fritts' testimony (called the Written Testimony for the Record) can be found here.

Fritts' testimony is one outcome of the results of NOWRA's advocacy and lobbying initiative to secure more support and funding for the onsite wastewater industry through action in Congress and at EPA and other relevant federal agencies.
