NOWRA is pleased to once again be participating at the WWETT (Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport) Show. This year's show will be held Feb. 20-24, 2022, in Indianapolis. Representatives from NOWRA will be conducting training, displaying in the exhibit hall, and hosting the National Backhoe Roe-D-Hoe Championship.

OWTS Operation & Maintenance Service Provider Part 1 - Remote Training Event

When: Feb. 22–Feb. 24, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. PST

Where: Online

This introductory course is part one of a two-part series. It covers the common technologies encountered by OWTS operations, maintenance and monitoring service providers. There are 16 contact hours eligible for continuing education credit. The course is broken down into sessions and will be done via online webinars.

Agenda: Lecture, presentation and discussion will address the importance of business and ethics, safety, wastewater math and analysis, and site assessment. Participants will also be exposed to various technologies, including tanks, pumps, system controls, pressure dosing, media filters, aerobic treatment units, drip dispersal and disinfection. The discussion of each of the technologies or components is directed by a series of detailed operational checklists.

Certificate of completion will be electronically provided in real time upon successful completion.

This training is provided by COWA in cooperation with the National Association of Wastewater Technicians (NAWT).

Recertification note: For those interested in NAWT O&M certification renewal, DO NOT register for this event. There is an abbreviated course (which covers the last two sessions of this event). Please visit the events page for more information: cowa.org/events
