Gainey’s Wastewater Treatment Plants – Now Nationwide

Gainey’s Concrete offers advanced packaged extended-aeration wastewater treatment plants designed to deliver effective, scalable solutions for communities and large-scale developments. Serving projects from as few as five homes to systems up to 1 million gpd, Gainey’s plants are manufactured in Louisiana and shipped across the southeastern U.S., meeting rigorous standards including TDEC, LDH, LDEQ, and Ten States Standards. Built with 5,000 psi precast concrete, Gainey’s systems are engineered for long-term performance with a service life of 50 to 100 years. By enhancing traditional extended aeration processes, Gainey’s systems can achieve advanced treatment levels as low as 5 BOD₅ / 5 TSS / 2 NH₃-N with tertiary filtration, while maintaining a small footprint and low energy demand. Designed for real-world conditions, the plants use off-the-shelf components for easier maintenance, offer a low life cycle cost, and can be installed in phases to support future growth.

Pump It Up: Pressure Sewer

Pressure sewer systems are sanitary sewer systems that utilize a network of grinder pumps to transport wastewater through small-diameter pipes directly to a collection and treatment system.A grinder pump is a submersible pump designed to reduce wastewater particulate to a slurry using a grinding mechanism.Pressure sewer systems can reduce installation costs, increase system flexibility and reduce the overall environmental impact of the system, all of which benefits contractors and end-users. They can be used as a complete turnkey solution or can be easily integrated into an existing collection system with other technologies. Watch the video to learn more.

"Tight Fit" - Wastewater System Profile - December 2012 Onsite Installer Video

Infiltration, poor soils, and a high water table overwhelmed the chamber drainfield serving a two-bedroom mobile home in Clayton, Ga. Knowing the owner could not afford to replace it, the Rabun County Environmental Health Department contacted Georgia Conservancy, an environmental organization that secured a $3,300 grant. Harold Kilgore of Gravelator Systems in Talmo won the design/installation bid. After accounting for setbacks, he found that 2,500 square feet remained for a replacement system. "Three-quarters of the 1.5-acre lot was floodplain with creeks running thought it," he says. "Even what soil evaluators called usable was the best of the worst."Featuring (in order of appearance):SJE Rhombus - Single Phase Duplex Demand / Timed Dose Control Panelhttp://www.sjerhombus.us/ses-controls-ifs-panels-details.php?ID=5(888) 342-5753Infiltrator Septic Tanks - IM-1060 Septic Tankhttp://infiltratorsystems.com/productline/IMseries_infiltrator.asp(800) 221-4436Eljen - Passive Advanced Treatment Technologyhttp://www.eljen.com/Pages/GSF/GSFoverview.html(800) 444-1359Video shot by Twins Productions.
