The Spartan Tool locator allows the user to locate in virtually any pipe material. Besides drainlines, the locator enables the user to map existing lines from other services to ensure safety when digging. The on-screen arrows and aural tones guide the operator to the line. Lines can be located using an inductive clamp, beacon (sonde) or passive (utility) lines. Line location can be combined with the depth estimator function to know how much digging is needed.
