NOWRA plans 19th Annual Conference

Onsite wastewater professionals to convene in St. Louis Oct. 25-27

The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association will hold its 19th Annual Technical Education Conference Oct. 25-27 with the theme, "Surface Discharge: Challenges and Solutions." The conference, at the Millennium Hotel it St. Louis, Mo., will have the Missouri Smallflows Organization as the local host.

The conference will highlight issues related to surface discharges: What can be done? What are some appropriate technologies? What are some documented successes? The NOWRA conference serves as the premier event for the conveyance of new research, regulations, policy, experience and practices in the decentralized wastewater industry.

The traditional trade show will take a one-year hiatus but will return in 2011, when NOWRA partners

with the National Environmental Health Association and the State Onsite Regulators Alliance for a “super conference.”

NOWRA is now accepting papers for its 2010 conference. Abstracts covering the broad range of topics relating to onsite and decentralized wastewater treatment are welcome. The deadline for submission is May 1. For more information, visit www.nowra.org or contact Sara Heger at
