Members of the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association have elected five new members to the board of directors. Joining the board for three-year terms that begin on Dec. 1 are Robert Rubin, academic/researcher; Eugene Bassett, installer/contractor; Michael Hines, engineer/designer; Eric Larson, service provider; and Robert Mayer, supplier/vendor.
Dick Otis, Ph.D., P.E., DEE, moves up from vice president and president-elect into the president’s chair. Otis is president of Otis Environmental Consultants, which specializes in onsite, cluster, and distributed wastewater treatment systems. He is a board-certified environmental engineer in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
Jerry Stonebridge concludes his service as past president, and Tom Groves moves into that slot after completing his term as president. “Both Jerry and Tom led NOWRA through some very challenging times and volunteered countless hours taking care of the association's affairs,” observes Eric Casey, NOWRA executive director.
