The National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA) welcomes abstracts for papers to be presented at the NOWRA 21st Annual Conference in Providence, R.I., April 2-5. Co-hosted by the Yankee Onsite Wastewater Association (YOWA), this conference will highlight non-traditional methods of water and wastewater management, including domestic and commercial wastewater, greywater, rainwater harvesting, stormwater management, condensate recovery, and building drainage.
The emphasis is on characterization, treatment, dispersal and management of these various water sources. In addition, presentations related to issues affecting wastewater management in New England, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic (EPA regions 1-3) will be highlighted. Abstracts submittals are due by Oct. 10.
Presentations from installers are especially welcome. Abstracts should be submitted electronically at http://2012nowra.homestead.com/home.html. Confirmation of abstracts submission will be sent via email within one week. Individuals will be notified of the Education Committee's selection by Nov. 15 and will receive instructions about paper criteria and format.
