Tri-State Pump and Septic Supply in Franklin, N.J., a wastewater treatment and septic system supply company that specializes in alternative products, received the 2011 Economic Innovation Award at the seventh annual Sussex County (N.J.) Economic Development Partnership luncheon recently.
The business was opened in 2009 by Debbie Mayers, whose husband, Joe, owns and operates a septic system installation business. When Joe had difficulty finding resources and products to support alternative technologies, Debbie decided to start her business. More than a dozen awards were given at the lumcheon to area businesses and individuals.
