Access to offsite support can provide several advantages for businesses, including cost saving, 24/7 availability and increased flexibility. It can be more budget-friendly, especially for smaller businesses providing access to support at any time, even outside of standard business hours. Franklin Electric is bringing enhanced support and collaboration to water professionals with the launch of the One-to-One tool, now available on the latest version of the company’s FE Connect mobile app.
One-to-One is a real-time support feature that allows onsite installers and operators to give temporary access to offsite support personnel. They can then view system settings or help with programming on compatible Franklin Electric products, including SubDrive Connect, SubDrive Connect Plus, SubMonitor Connect and optional configurations of Cerus X-Drive.
“For smarter service and support in the field, we wanted to give water professionals even more access to the knowledge of Franklin Electric’s technical team, as well as enable remote collaboration with our expert crew,” says Dan Delaney, director of technical solutions, Franklin Electric. “With FE Connect’s One-to-One feature, it’s like having a trusted technical support team member sitting beside you, helping you every step of the way.”
FE Connect is designed to deliver comprehensive insight and support that enhances the way technicians service Franklin Electric products equipped with wireless connectivity. It provides convenient access to all compatible Franklin Electric products in a single tool, helping save time and enhance safety during installation and service with an array of startup, monitoring and troubleshooting solutions with minimal hands-on interaction with the drive or protection device. All compatible products feature a QR code sticker, allowing users to quickly download the app and pair products. Then, follow the onscreen prompts to set up connectivity. One-to-One offers two fully secure sharing modes: Handoff for real-time programming access and View Only for read-only capabilities. The in-field user can control who receives access via a connection code. According to Delaney, it’s one more way Franklin Electric helps professionals get on to the next job faster.
“No matter how skilled the installer, questions come up in the field,” says Delaney. “We’ve all had those times where we think, ‘I wish I could show my support team what I’m seeing on the screen.’ The One-to-One feature allows for this type of secure access, sharing and support.”
