Infiltrator Acquires Ring Industrial Group

Infiltrator Systems Inc. has acquired Ring Industrial Group LP of Oakland, Tenn., manufacturer of the EZflow brand of expanded polystyrene drainfield systems. Ring’s six manufacturing plants will be operated as EZflow LP, wholly owned by Infiltrator Systems Inc., as the company looks to expand the EZflow product line. Key members of the Ring Industrial Group, including its engineering staff, have been retained. The customer service and accounting departments have been integrated into the Infiltrator organization. With the addition of EZflow, Infiltrator, based in Old Saybrook, Conn., has products in 2.5 million onsite systems across North America.

Bord na Mona, American Join Forces

Bord na Mona Environmental Products U.S. Inc. has formed a strategic alliance with American Manufacturing Co. Inc. to package American’s Perc-Rite drip systems with its own Puraflo peat fiber biofilter onsite wastewater treatment systems in difficult soil condition environments.

The first such combination system under the partnership has been installed at a residence in Charleston, S.C. “Our partnership with American Manufacturing promises to bring a new level of onsite treatment quality and flexibility to areas known for having difficult soil conditions, such as shallow bedrock, clay, and high water tables,” says Bord na Mona executive vice president John Payne. “These combination systems will feature a single control panel that significantly simplifies long-term operation and maintenance.”

The Perc-Rite system is a single- or multi-zoned fluid handling system for drip dispersal using disc filtration followed by low-volume timed dosing. The system delivers treated wastewater equally to a dispersal area, providing unsaturated flow for an aerobic soil environment.

The Puraflo system, certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 40, is a low-energy, natural solution for onsite treatment requirements that uses natural biofibrous peat filter media. Delivered in pre-assembled modular units that save installation time and costs, the system is compatible with drip dispersal, making it well-suited to difficult soils and restrictive lot sizes.

According to Payne, Bord na Mona’s partnership with American is open-ended and will include future collaboration on other treatment and reuse solutions for the residential and commercial markets. American will include a selection of its products at the Bord na Mona Innovation Center in Greensboro, N.C.
