Romtec Utilities welcomes back Kyle Perrin
Romtec Utilities announced that Kyle Perrin has rejoined the company as director of business development. Perrin previously spent several years with Romtec Utilities, where he helped expand the company’s footprint and strengthen relationships with owners, engineers and contractors. He has held roles in project management and sales management, giving him broad knowledge of Romtec Utilities’ packaged pumping systems and the full project life cycle. After gaining additional experience outside the organization, Perrin returns to help Romtec Utilities accelerate growth, deepen customer partnerships and continue delivering dependable, site-specific solutions nationwide.
SJE acquires Anchor Scientific
SJE has acquired Anchor Scientific, a manufacturer and distributor of switches and controllers for the water and wastewater industry. The acquisition marks SJE’s eighth acquisition since 2021 and first in 2026. Founded in 1965 and run by brothers John and David Potter, Anchor Scientific has a history of manufacturing a wide range of float switches and other products from its facility in Long Lake, Minnesota.
NPCA launches inaugural Built for Purpose Awards
In honor of America’s 250th birthday in 2026, the National Precast Concrete Association is seeking best-in-class projects utilizing precast concrete for its first-ever Built for Purpose Awards. The awards will honor infrastructure projects showcasing the enduring role precast concrete has played — and will continue to play — in the growth of the United States and American infrastructure. Submissions open June 1 and entries are due Aug. 31. The awards are open to both member and nonmember firms and companies. The awards seek both projects in progress as well as those completed within the past five years.
