Distribution Equipment and Systems
Front Range Precast Concrete Auto-Siphon
In use since some of the first plumbing systems in history, the Auto-Siphon is just as useful and relevant today. A 100% passive and power-free device, the Front Range Precast Concrete version of this technology not only saves power and money compared to electric pumps, but continues to dispose of and replenish water even during power-loss. This makes it a suitable option since the homes that require septic systems are often in remote places, prone to blackouts. A single siphon can provide enough pressure to water an entire soil absorption field. 800-783-3207; www.flxx.com

Rissy Plastics Flout
The Flout from Rissy Plastics has become popular as a retrofit for failed bell siphons. The problem with replacement is finding a way to connect to the traps or vents of the old siphons. The many variables of pipe composition, size and position create challenges. Providing a watertight seal without wasting elevation with clamp couplers and saving time not having to wait for sealants and cements to set are achieved with custom manufactured manifolds. As long as the concrete chamber floor is smooth and stable, the old siphon pipes are cut off flush and the manifold is fastened in place with corrosionproof plug anchors, screws and butyl sealant. Once in place, Flout dosing devices are simply clamped to the pipe nipples. Manifolds are custom built for each application and are made from rugged 3/4-inch cellular PVC sheet. Many arrangements for inlets, outlets and venting can be provided. 860-459-9995; www.flout.net
