The NOWRA National Backhoe Roe-D-Hoe championships were held recently in Indianapolis at the WWETT Show. Over 200 entrants tested their backhoe skills through the obstacle course of basketballs, bowling pins and golf balls.

Five finalists and the Iowa state champion competed for the top three prizes in the finals. Congratulations to Josh Reading with M&J Underground, Inc. from Monee, Illinois, for winning first place. He got to wear the Backhoe Roe-D-Hoe championship belt and walked away with $1,000 in cash.

Congratulations also goes out to the other top finishers: 2nd place, Abraham Rhoads, Delaware, Ohio; 3rd place, Albert Breech, Lucasville, Ohio; Honorable mention, Adrian Keiper, Wadsworth, Ohio; Andrew Russell, Vermilion, Ohio; and Justin Rozendaal, Monroe, Iowa. Special thanks goes to the event sponsor, SALCOR.
