Prepackaged lift station installed at equine hospital

Problem: An equine hospital in the Central Bluegrass Region of Kentucky recently expanded its facilities with a state-of-the-art hospital. The hospital treats athletic horses from across the country. They needed a pumping station to lift the sewage to the lateral lines in this septic system.

Solution: After reviewing the pumping needs for the conventional septic system and lateral field, the engineer chose a Zoeller prepackaged lift station to meet the requirements. The Fiberglas lift station is 72 inches in diameter and 162 inches deep, with a capacity of 1,675 gallons, which meets the septic system design. The system included two Model 188-0005 pumps using 230 volts with a 2-inch discharge. It also includes a Model 33-4755 basin and rail assembly, Model 124E4-0001 duplex Pivot Pro Control Panel, four Model 10-0744 20-foot mechanical float switches and a Model 10-1456 four-float tree assembly.

Result: The system has effectively met the needs of the equine hospital. 800-928-7867; www.zoellerpumps.com
